OBITS

CLAUDE WESTERFIELD sends this: My brother-in-law LOUIS BAGGET has passed on and his funeral is Tuesday, 1Aug 2000 at 1:30pm. Louis was my sister, Nelo Gean's husband. He was in WWII in the Texas 36th. He fought his way up the boot, in Italy, then on to France and into Germany.

His battles had an effect on him. Before he was outspoken and all, after he was very inward, at least to others. I think he was ok with his children. I could never get beyond the shield. I know he has found peace and is back with Nelo Gean now.

Out of eleven brothers and sisters, there are only four of us. My sister Cleta who just older than I, Brothers James and Roy. They are in the older group.

(This is from Warren)

I just returned from Joyce Richesin Plemons' friends & family pre-funeral reception. We got there at 6:30 and the line extended out of the parlor, down one hallway, around a corner and down another hallway through the business offices, into the chapel area where it curved arounds the outside walls and back out the doorway. We stayed in the line over 45 minutes even though it was moving fairly well. While we spoke and spent only about 30 seconds with Red and the family (as others were doing), as we left we noticed that the line had grown even longer.

I don't even know that many people - much less have that many friends. Red and Joyce are rich indeed!
