QUESTION FROM WARREN:

 

My sister is applying for membership in the Daughters of American Revolution (DAR). This is an organization of women who have ancestors who have fought in the Revolutionary war. And in order to join, she is proving her ancestry by going back on the maternal side of my family, to far distant relations. So this causes me to ask the question: Are there not members of our Plemmons/Plemons/Plemens/Plemon/Plemone family who have fought in the Revolutionary war? I know that we have had many family members who have fought in the war between the states (Civil War), and all wars since then, but what about the American Revolutionary War? Do you know of any? If you do, please let me know. – Warren Plemons
