ROBERT (BOB) PLEMONS
Age 92 of Rockwood, Tennessee died Friday February 11, 2000. His wife, Margaret, preceded him in death. Survivors include his son, Robert E. Plemons of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; a sister, Bertha Smith of Rockwood, Tennessee; six brothers: Clifford Plemons of Rockwood, Tennessee; Bill Plemons of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Jesse Plemons of Rockwood, Tennessee; Earnest Plemons of Wyandot, MI; Raymond Plemons of Rockwood, Tennessee; and Gene Plemons of Rockwood, Tennessee. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.BERTHA MAE KENT
Age 76 died February 14, 2000 in her home in Lindale, GA. Bertha was born 20 Sep 1923 in Rome, GA the daughter of Hershel Lee Byrd and Zannie Adell Plemons and a GGGG Granddaughter of John Plemons and Cecilia Hailey. She is survived by her husband AJ Kent, two sons Jimmie Kent and Christopher Barry Kent and five grandchildren Michael Barry, David Allen, Deborah Lynn, Stephen James, and Sherrie Ann.MARY CURTIS HUGHES PLEMMONS
widow of Charles Elbert Plemmons Sr., died 29 November 1999. Mary was born 29 May 1913 in Fort Worth, Texas. Charles Elbert Plemmons was a grandson of John LaFayette Plemmons and Mary M. Rook. Reported by Daughter-in-law Clara Martin Plemmons.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Barker Plemmons; a son, Danny Plemmons of Loncolnton; two step-sons, Steve Poarch of Granite Falls, and Dean Poarch of Dallas; Three daughters, Diane Reese of Gastonia, Debbie Ledford of Grover, and Donna Blackburn of Wilmington; a step-daughter, Donna Sorrow of Mount Holly; his parents, George and Mable Winstead Plemmons of Gastonia; a sister, Brenda Ballew of Clover, South Carolina; and thirteen grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by the Reverand Ralph Carver at Carothers Funeral Home, in Belmont. Burial was in Independent Baptist Church Cemetery in Dallas.
JARVIS HAROLD (BUDDY) PLEMMONS
age 60 died 15 Feb 1992 at Gaston Memorial HospitalHe was a native of Sylva, and was a retired supervisor at Firestone Textiles. He served in the Air Force with the military police. He was a member of Beech Avenue Baptist Church, where he was a former musician and was active in nursing home work
Survivors include his wife, Nannie Patrick Plemmons; a daughter Sharon Plemmons of Gastonia, his parents, George and Julia Winstead Plemmons; a sister, Brenda Ballew of Clover, S.C., a brother Harry Plemmons of Belmont, and two grandchi1dren, Jordan and Tiffany Cody.
Funeral was conducted by Rev. Tommy Brown at Beech Avenue Baptist Church. Burial was in Gaston Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were James Sheppard, Lee Sims, Ronnie Griffie, Everette Kinsey, Dub Parker and Leonard Green. Ward Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
JULIA MABEL PLEMMONS
age 81 died May 31, 1995, at home. She was a native of Macon County, formerly of Gastonia; daughter of the late Jessie Eugene and Florence Bell Keyth Winstead; mother of the late Jarvis "Buddy," Roger L. and Harry. D. Plemmons; member of Zion Baptist Church, Gastonia; winder in nylon textiles. SURVIVORS: Husband, George Clifford Plemmons; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Donald Ballew, Clover; Daughter-in-law, Shirley, Nanny and Patty Plemmons, Gastonia; brother, Nevile Winstad, Gastonia; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL: was on Friday at Zion Baptist Church, Revs. Leo Kuykendoll, Donald Ballew BURIAL: Westview Gardens, Bessemer City
ESTER MARIE PLEMONS MORTON
age 54, died 31 Jan 2000. She was Buried 3 Feb at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Marie was an employee of Golden Gallon in Ringgold, GA. She was a GGGG granddaughter of Thomas Plemons and Elizabeth Roberts. She is survived by husband, James Michael Morton: daughter, April Plemons: step son, Michael Dewayne Morton: Stepdaughter, Jackie Michelle Morton Jernagin: sister, Mary Frances Plemons McMahan: brother, Charles Plemons.
BERTHA PLEMMONS WEBB
went home to be with the Lord at 12:46 am Thursday 2 March 2000. She was 101 ½. We were with her.The arrangements are: Saturday 7 to 9 pm - visitation at Garretts Funeral Home in Waynesville, North Carolina; Sunday 2:30 pm - Funeral at Garretts Funeral Home.
She was the daughter of Joe Miller Plemmons and Maggie Case Plemmons. The wife of Monroe C. Webb, she is one of 21 children, two surviving. She is the Mother of 9 children, 7 of whom survive her. She has 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
