FROM BRUCE: I enclose a photo of my paternal grandparents, Laxton Mallie Plemmons (1884 - 1958), and Minnie Elizabeth (Donaldson) Plemmons (1885 - 1955). This photo was probably taken at Asheville, NC in the early 1950’s, I think on Barnard Street. A second picture shows "Pop" and Granny Plemmons, taken in June of 1944, with my Uncle Joe (1923-1995), in uniform, and Uncle Seth (1911-1996 - standing), Uncle Jimmy (1926-1985), seated, Aunt Christine (1925), and Aunt Kate (1922). My Dad, Dan L. and Uncle Ross (Bud) were both serving in the Navy during WWII, and Uncle Grady was elsewhere at the time. He was the oldest of the eight children.

BRANCHES HAS BEEN IN PUBLICATION FOR THREE YEARS!

IN THIS ISSUE:

Don't miss the "Headlines" page! These are features from some local newspapers in the Monroe County, Tennessee area. Read about the "Jerry Springer Show" incident!

The "Family Album" contains a few photos from the recently acquired family pictures of Buel Hobert Plemmons. (Courtesy of Jerry and Wanda Plemons. See the "Letters" page.)

The "Letters" page contains some correspondence that arrived since the last newsletter publication; also some email messages about the family. (I recently re-discovered a first cousin that I had not heard from in about 50 years - thru Branches.)

Find out about the coming Family Reunion in the "Editorial" page. It also contains the Foreword from Janet Webb's and Joe Plemons' book "Plem???ns".

Learn of the latest additions to the family on the "Births" page.

And, sadly, learn of our losses on the "Obituary" page.

And, be proud of our family members that are serving in the Armed Forces on the "Family Members in the Services" page.
