Plemons crowned Miss Volunteer
Stephanie Plemons of Madisonville will advance to the Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant after being crowned Miss Volunteer at the All-State Pageant on March 17, in Nashville. She was also first runner-up for Miss MTSU, Miss Murfreesboro, and Miss Knoxville.
She will advance to the 2001 Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant in June, where she will compete for the title, scholarships and a chance to go on to the Miss America Pageant. Pageant winners are selected based on an interview, talent, evening gown and swimsuit competition.
Plemons is the daughter of Dennis and Alice Lou Plemons of Madisonville and is a 1999 graduate of Sequoyah High School. She is currently a sophomore at Middle Tennessee State University, where she is a two-year member of the MTSU Dance Team, which has competed in National Competition in Orlando, Fla., for the past two years.
Plemons is also a member of the Music City Dancers, which perform at the Nashville Predators Hockey games. She is currently on the Dean's List at MTSU and a member of Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society.
