KIN IN THE NEWS
United States Marine Lance Corporal CHRISTOPHER JOSEPH PLEMONS is a Military Policeman and was on duty at the gate to Henderson Hall on September 11, 2001. Henderson Hall is a next door neighbor to the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery. Plemons heard a terrific roaring noise and stepped outside his post to see what it was. He observed a passenger jet directly overhead. To him it seemed the jet airliner was no more than 15 feet above his head. Plemons knew it had to be higher than that to clear the buildings at Henderson Hall. He watched it bank and dip into the pentagon. They immediately closed the gates to Henderson Hall and evacuated all civilians from the base.

STEPHANIE PLEMONS of Madisonville, Tennessee, has been
selected to serve as Student Ambassador at Middle Tennessee State University,
for the 2001 – 2002 academic years.
Students are chosen for this elite group based on their strong
leadership abilities, high academic achievement, school spirit and winning
attitudes. Student Ambassadors serve as
official hosts and hostesses at presidential, alumni, donor, academic, athletic
and official University functions.
