CHARLES LEBRON THRAILKILL
passed away Sunday 26 Aug 2001. Born 29 Dec 1924, he was preceded
in death by his wife, WILLIE MAE PLEMONS THRAILKILL 1927-1987. The
parents of Willie Mae were William Caldwell Plemons and Alice Guinn Coppinger.
Her grandparents were George Lafayette Plemons and Catherine Rebecca
Whisenant. Her great grandparents were Samuel N. Plemons and Harriet C.
Whisenant.
The parents of Charles Lebron were Mr. and Mrs. James Walter Thrailkill.
Charles served and was wounded in WWII. He served as city manager
of East Ridge, TN from 1961 to 1967. Later he was the executive director
of the Chattanooga Regional Council of Governments and Southeast TN Development
District.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Charles Lebron Thrailkill Jr and
Terri Thrailkill of Winston NC; his daughter and son-in-law Macon Fears and
Linda Thrailkill Fears of Halifax County, VA.; grandchildren, Kimberly
and Philip Thrailkill and Charles Fears; and three sisters, Barbara Elliott and
Charlotte Young, both of Chattanooga and Doris Biddy of Indianapolis, IN.
Charles was buried 29 August in Chattanooga National Cemetery, Chattanooga, TN.

PAULINE PLEMMONS FOWLER of Swannanoa, Buncombe County, North Carolina, died Saturday 19 May 2001. She was 77. A native of Spring Creek, Madison County, North Carolina, she was the eldest child of Bryan and Nelda Lusk Plemmons. Pauline married R K Fowler in 1942. They had seven children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two children; Elaine and Butch, and a granddaughter, Paula Fowler Clement. She is survived by five children and their spouses; Darrell & Linda Fowler, Kay and Jack Pipes, June Fowler, Suzie & Virgil Gilliam, Karen & Doug Douthitt, and Butch's wife, Cathy. She had nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Surviving grandchildren are Robert, Jennifer, & Elaine Fowler, Jason & MelainePipes, Vaugh and Sarah Gilliam, Madison Douthitt. Her great-grandchildren are Kaleb & Bricen Fowler, Heather & Kay Cee Clement. She is also survived by two sisters, Ann Ramsey and Betty Edwards, and two brothers, Gerald & Newton Plemmons. Her gravesite was not mentioned.

OVA H. PLEMMONS, 87, a Haywood County, North Carolina native, of 251 Scottdale Road, Canton, North Carolina, died Thursday, October 25, 2001 at her home. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Perry H. and Dixie Rogers Henson. She was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ben Wilson, Collie Rogers and Richard Plemmons; brothers Ralph, James and Nelson Henson; and a sister, Lora Wilson.
Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Aileen and John Tucker of Redondo Beach, California; two sons and their wives, Kenneth and Helen Wilson of Waynesville, North Carolina, and Jack and Sue Wilson of Keswick, Virginia; three sisters, Mary Lou Abel and Jo Ann Smith, both of Canton, and Iva Lee Pressley of Ellenboro; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Wells Funeral Home in Canton. The Reverands Ronnie Jenkins and Carter Parham officiated. Burial was in Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandsons and nephews served as pallbearers. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Welcome Hill Baptist Church, 709 Queentown Road, Canton, North Carolina, 28716.

GENEVIEVE PLEMMONS VETOE, age 91, of Canton, North Carolina, died Monday, September 10, 2001, at Canton Health Care Center. Wells Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.

LUCILLE PLEMMONS COWARD, 80 died Thursday, October 4, 2001 at Mission St. Josephs Health System. A native of the Spring Creek community in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late L. J. and Altha Price Plemmonsl She retired from Dayso, where she worked in quality control. She attended Ratcliffe Cove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce C. Jordan; son-in-law, Doyle H. Jordan; brother, Stewart F. Plemmons; and two sisters, Vergie Fish and Drama Blankenship.
Surviving are her husband, Fred Coward of Waynesville; two sisters, Macie Sheehan of Huntersville and Peggy Justice of Candler; and one grand-daughter.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Garret Funeral Home. The Rev. Lloyd Fish will officiate. Burial will be at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Owen Fish, Larry Plemmons, Jim Horne, Mark Palmer, Joe Price and Lawrence Davis. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

ALMA BALDING PLEMMONS-SUTTLES, 87, of Meadow Fork, died August 10, 2001, at St. Marys Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee.
A native of Haywood County, she was born to the late Landon John and Bertha Hestella Stamey Balding. She was retired from Wellco. She was a member of the Keenerville Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Plemmons; one son, Donald Lee Plemmons, one granddaughter, Lisa Swann; and two brothers, Floyd Henry Baldwin and Chesnell John Balding.
Surviving are her husband, Berlin Huey Suttles; two daughters, Shirley Swann of Reidsville and Bernice Clark of Quartzsite, Arizona; three sisters, Helen Balding Allen Price and Lucille Selma Balding Price, both of Spring Creek and Geraldine Balding Moore of Waynesville; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Garrett Funeral Home. The family officiating with the service. Burial was in the Dawn Cemetery in Crabtree. The family received friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Keenerville Christian Cemetery fund.
