WEDDINGS
Amber Christina Land and Michael William Plemons
were united in marriage on August 17, 2002.The bride is the daughter of Vickie and Paul Land of Etowah, and the groom is the son of Jerry and Wanda Plemons of Etowah, and Alice Melton of Nashville.
The 5 P.M. ceremony took place at Allen Memorial United Methodist Church with the rev. Jeff Wright officiating.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a corset-style gown with a square neckline, capped sleeves and tulle accented waistline. Her detachable veil was accented with bead-work and attached to a tiara. She carried a bouquet of white and purple roses with purple and deep mauve wild flowers.
Regina Land, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor and Kathryn Grubb served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Frye and Christie Brinkley. They wore Victorian lilac gowns with round neck halter tops and flowing skirts. They carried purple roses. Hannah King served as the flower girl. She wore a dress similar to the brides and wore a headpiece of wildflowers. Robbie King served as the best man. Groomsmen were Todd guy, Joe Holbrook and Pat Watts. Riley Plemons served as the ring bearer.
A reception was given by the brides parents at Springbrook Country Club following the ceremony. Nadine Wilson and Amanda Crabtree kept the guest book. After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is back at home in Etowah.
