Amberly Stephens and Steve Plemons were united in marriage on October 25, 2003.The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Joann Stephens, of Athens, Tennessee, and the groom is the son of Steve and Joyce Plemons, of Sweetwater, Tennessee.
The 1 p.m. ceremony took place at Fairview Baptist Church with Gary Keylan officiating. Music was provided by soloist Robin Bennett.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a sleeveless, white, princess dress accented with diamonds and pearls, a diamond-accented tiara and a cathedral length veil.
Marla Porter was the maid of honor. She wore an orange, two-piece gown with a boat-neck collar and carried a bouquet of fresh long-stemmed orange peace lilies, sunflowers, miniature sunbeams and yellow roses accentuated with orange tips. Courtney Borden, Lori Gunn and Crystal Dotson served as bridesmaids. Flower girls were Sydney and Jessica Boring and they wore white, miniature bride dresses with matching diamond tiaras and carried topiary balls with ribbon arranged with fresh, fall flowers.
Matt Miller was the best man and Casper Keller, Blake Breaman and Steve Plemons, Sr. served as groomsmen.
A reception was given by the brides parents at the church following the service. The guestbook was kept by Cassie Walker and Ann Gains. Paula Cox, Samantha Manis, Greg Hayes, Kim Evans, Summer Watson and Jeanne Casteel assisted in Serving.
After a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas, the couple is at home in Athens, Tennessee.
