We shall hold the Reunion at the Alabama
Music Hall of Fame Banquet Hall on Saturday July 9,2005 at 12
Noon.
We have a potluck things we get at local deli's, Super Wal-Mart,
Kentucky Fried Chicken. Throw away paper ware
and plastic ware is furnished. We enjoy the fellowship. The Hall is
located on Highway 72 outside of Tuscumbia.
There is a Key West Inn about 1/2 mile from the Hall. We are making
reservations there. Mention the Plemons/Plemmons Reunion.
Rooms with two double beds are $49.95 plus tax. King sized Beds are
$54.95 plus tax. There is a free continental Breakfast
in room coffee, microwave, refrigerator, coin-op guest Laundry, Boat
Parking, free newspapers. There are Jacuzzi Suites available
I did not inquire about them. Roll away bed are $10.00
For those of the John James Plemons
family the Tuscumbia Cemetery is the burial plot of my Father John
Pink Plemmons,
Cecil E. Plemons and our Grandparents John and Emily Plemons. Our
Grandparents stone was starting to sink on one end.
I contacted a company and had it repaired while I was there. Those wishing
to make a family vacation Tuscumbia is the
home of Helen Keller and is a National site. The Home of W. C.
Handy, The Pickwick, Wheeler Dams [my Father helped
build] and Wilson dams are within 20 miles. The Joe Wheeler Home is
open for visitors, as is the Bel Monte Plantation.

Tuscumbia is restoring many of their sites. They have a wonderful
park Spring Park you should not miss seeing.
Please make you Motel reservations you
can always cancel later. It is fun staying in the same one so we can
visit more.
Muscle Shoals is only 10 miles and it
called the "little Nashville" The group "Alabama " group recorded
there.
It is only an hour drive to Huntsville
and their space facility. NASA site and there is another site at
Ikua, Ms.15 miles from
Tuscumbia and a NASA site the locals call Hwy 72 "Missile Valley."
